Opening exhibition

Square and ensemble
Mathias Goeritz

Oct 18, 2026
Feb 26, 2027

Atlantis is a public space in the San Miguel Chapultepec neighbourhood. At its heart is a square where “Los amantes”, by Mathias Goeritz, stands among thousands of plants, trees of many species and a dedicated children's area.

01

Around the square, a public library, exhibition space, amphitheatre, meditation space — Safe Space —, flexible studios for art projects, creative workspaces, a café and a restaurant come together.

02

Throughout the year, a programme of cultural and community events becomes part of the neighbourhood's social fabric. Through curiosity, ideas and imagination, it encourages a more creative, thoughtful and connected urban life.

Public Square

The public square is the heart of Atlantis: a meeting place for neighbours, visitors, art and nature. Born from the desire to give a place back to its community, it invites people to spend time together, connect and exchange ideas as part of everyday neighbourhood life.

01

Exhibition Space

An interdisciplinary space bringing together painting, sculpture, performance, photography, film, architecture, literature, music, theatre and dance. These encounters extend into the amphitheatre through talks, workshops and presentations that nurture exchange and collective life.

02

Public Library

A collection dedicated to art, architecture and design, with a special selection for children and a programme that invites readers to discover, through books and words, new ways of imagining the world.

03

Safe Space

Free guided meditation every day.

04

Cafetería Atlantis

A coffee, a conversation. Another coffee, and the conversation continues. Share a sandwich, stay a little longer, come back tomorrow. The food is simple, generous and thoughtfully prepared. And so, as one day gives way to another, cultural life at Atlantis also becomes a familiar ritual.
